On Friday 8 March, Julius Marlow proudly stomped the GQ Menswear Runway with Melbourne based suitwear brand Dom Bagnato at the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival (VAMFF).
Dom Bagnato's AW19 runway was inspired via a homage to the 80’s, an era that was rich with textured fabrics, bold patterns and masculine lines, which aids in creating signature looks, cementing the Dom Bagnato brands core value statement , “colour, contemporary classic, creative elegance and Italian style.”
Dom drew inspiration from iconic actors in films such as Wall Street, who made strong sartorial statements that resonate still to this day, while adding essence of European elegance via in season colour palettes of plum reds, atlantics blues, dessert bone and dusty silver. Patterned checks sat against micro-weaved fabrication, with three-piece coordinates and double breasted styling a key style statement for the season.
VAMFF's mission is to profile and amplify Australian and International creative talent, both locally and globally, by embracing fashion in all its forms to inspire consumers, support retailers and maximize benefits to our stakeholders.
